The final match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 was played between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 17 March 2024 (Sunday) at the Arun Jaitley Ground in Delhi.

In which Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in a thrilling match and won the title of the second season of the Women’s Premier League 2024 and the Indian T20 League after almost 17 years.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Delhi Capitals team was reduced to just 113 runs in 18.3 overs.

Shafali Verma scored the most runs for Delhi Capitals. Facing 27 balls, he played a brilliant inning of 44 runs with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas captain Meg Lanning played an inning of 23 runs in 23 balls with the help of three fours.

In bowling, Shreyanka Patil took the maximum of 4 wickets for 12 runs in 3.3 overs for Royal Challengers Bangalore. While Shophie Molineau took a hat-trick and took 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs and Asha Sobhana took 2 wickets for 14 runs in 3 overs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore team, which started chasing the target, started slowly and moved towards the target. Bangalore achieved the target by scoring 115 runs for 2 wickets in 19.3 overs.

In this way, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team was successful in winning the title in the second season of Women’s Premier League 2024.

Bangalore opener Smriti Mandhana contributed 31 runs, Sophie Devine contributed 32 runs, Ellyse Perry contributed 35 unbeaten runs and wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh contributed 17 unbeaten runs.

In bowling, Shikha Pandey and Meenu Mani took 1-1 wicket for Delhi Capitals.
Sophie Molineau, who was the hero of the victory of this match, was chosen as the player of the match.
